Being no fan of the 1982 original
(the digital subworld idea makes no sense to me), I had no expectations, yet this left me cold. Blatant “homages” to THE DARK KNIGHT
, STAR WARS
and BLADE RUNNER
feel desperately unoriginal (as does Michael Sheen’s über-campy Zuse). Jeff Bridges, however, remains godlike.
