DC Retroactive: Superman - the '70s

DC RETROACTIVE: SUPERMAN – THE ‘70s by Martin Pasko, Eduardo Barreto & Christian Duce (DC Comics)
Mr. Mxyzptlk mentally torments the Man of Steel in this fun throwback to Superman’s Galaxy Broadcasting era. The art feels a bit rushed (as two different artists might indicate), and the retro esthetic is weakened by Andrew Elder’s overdone, completely anachronistic coloring. A superfluous backup 1978 reprint suffers from horrid reproduction.

I think you should learn a little more before you start doing reviews.
I didn't ink the art of Barreto, I drew and Inked 13 pages, and Eduardo did the same with his pages.

C. Duce

Christian Duce is the penciller with Barreto so “lazy inking" my ass, plus Christian matched Barreto's style to keep continuity.
If you are going to review something at least make sure to know what the hell are you talking.

I stand corrected. However, the art credits only say "art by Eduardo Barreto and Christian Duce," and especially as the directive was to emulate Barreto's style, I think most people would assume as I did.

So, I take back the accusation of lazy inking on the part of Duce and apply it to both artists, I guess (I'm sorry, I didn't love the art. It's all subjective).

NOTE: The above comments refer to an earlier version of this review, which referred to Duce as the inker. After being corrected by the artist, I rewrote the review to reflect the correct credits.

Oh, and also, I apologize to Mr. Duce for initially referring to him as "Dulce." That flub has no excuse.

ahh you caved. You must be a democrat. The art sucks, the ink IS lazy and everything was obviously rushed. You know what they say... Quality / Quick Turnaround / Low Cost: Pick two.

PS: Methinks you are missing a "by" in the second sentence:
"... retro esthetic is weakened Andrew Elder’s ..."

I DID miss the "by," thank you, anonymous. Hmm, wonder if that makes it 51 words...
