I had high hopes for the animated adaptation of one of my favorite Superman series
, but this movie suffers from some odd editing of the source material (the uninitiated will be confused) and the weakest animation of any of the DCU films. Decent voice acting can’t salvage a huge disappointment.

I feel bad writing a middling review of the final work by Dwayne McDuffie, who wrote this adaptation, and died in February. McDuffie did much fine work for Warner Bros. Animation over the years, and his rich legacy will be remembered.
